I hope to see you soon. Although, I am having a little trouble making the Friday Flicks myself, this time of year.
Count me in on movies :) I'm a regular over at Amity Island's Theater. I'd love to see a little more science fiction and this seems like the perfect venue for it. -B

introducing myself

i have lived in extropia since the pods went up, i love it here. i will never move. I especially love the music, and the sunsets. However it seems that whenever i am home, i am the only one here in town, so i am most happy to find that an extropia ning exists. i'd like to get more involved in my community. Oh, and since I can't figure out how to get an existing pic of myself from my inventory saved to my computer to upload here, please enjoy the photo of valentina tereshkova, the first woman in… Continue

I Had a Dream...

I imagine that most people have considered purchasing an Openspace sim at some time since they were released in February. Even at the original prim count, they were a tempting offer. The raise in available prims (to 3750) was a sweetener to the deal, but of course now that prices have risen to meet whatever maintenance costs they're apparently incurring, I can imagine a lot of dreams have recently been dash… Continue

Call for Artwork, For An Upcoming Exhibit

Friends:

I am trying to put together an exhibition for the (soon to be finished I hope) Galleria at Port Moravec, celebrating life in and of Second Life. The tentative title is "Being/Digital: Awakenings In The Metaverse", and I'd like to be able to open it on Extropia's birthday.

If you have poetry, sculptures, music, or mixed media works that might be apt to this theme, please drop me a line here, or in-Grid.

If you know artists who might be interested, who don't follow this ning.com space,… Continue

New amenities at Port Moravec

On behalf of the Port Moravec Group, I am pleased to announce that the Lounge at Floating Point is now online.

The lounge is located at the Floating Point transit centre. It may be reached by teleport at the welcome centre's gazebo, or by flying to the Point -- it's at 84m, in the middle of the Port. Drop on by, pull up a cushion, and enjoy the view!

Building Extropia

Designing the Extropian Home

With thanks to Truthseeker Young for the tip, it seems that enterprising makeover artists at Meta Makeover have descended upon Alesia Markstein's Extropian myPod! They were there to offer some insightful tips on decorating these apartments of tomorrow, taking in Extropia's unique theme and aesthetic. Hosts Saffia Widdershins and Elrik Merlin guide we, the viewers, through a most enlightening

Introductions and Re-introductions

Felicitous greetings to you! It is with humble apologies that I now attempt to make amends for a rather quiet and understated transition between directors here at Extropia. Such a change could mean big changes in any other climate, and while nothing has happened yet it certainly doesn't hurt to keep folks informed! For those who weren't following recent Extropian news, My name is Sinnyo Wirefly
