Extropia

Now that the Secret Goldfish is gone, where does a fellow Extropian go to take in a classic Science Fiction film? Why the Musuem of Robots, of course. This Friday, May 8th, at 5pm SLT is the feature film, "Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet," circa 1965, starring Basil Rathbone. Hope to see you there!

Sounds like an excellent idea! Good find, Cral.

It is a shame we cannot accommodate "the Goldfish" at present, but should the opportunity arise I'm sure we could try to give it a proper home some time in future.

Would people be interested in some drive-in movies, on a temporary nanoscreen erected just off Odyssey's spaceport?

T and I have been toying with the notion for a couple of weeks.

If it'd be of interest, when would be good? Friday is out, as we don't wish to compete with the Museum's fine efforts...

Oh, for a flat Earth! Then we could all live on the same time zone! Bit late for me but I'm in Norway that day anyway. Still, thanks for then info. Perhaps they will have more shows?

The Friday nite shows are to be featured for a number of months, I believe.

I really enjoyed the movie. It was an interesting "mash-up" of a original Russian film, with overdubbed dialogue. The scenes with Basil Rathbone were spliced in, in an apparent effort to add some star quality to the film. And we thought only modern Hollywood was so shameless! LOL.

This week is the return of the Gene Autrey serial, sci-fi western.

Count me in on movies :) I'm a regular over at Amity Island's Theater. I'd love to see a little more science fiction and this seems like the perfect venue for it. -B

I hope to see you soon. Although, I am having a little trouble making the Friday Flicks myself, this time of year.
